I'm very proud to count DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) amongst my clients with this video interview of Minister of State George Eustice scheduled at the very last minute, thanks to helpful connections at the Kennel Club.

Provided with a sketch of a script and project plan just a day before the shoot, in an unclear location (which changed on D day), the interview was filmed after some initial issues which was to be expected. It's one of those days where everything goes wrong, but we made it in the end!

They were on a fairly low budget and the rushed situation meant part of my equipment was rented out elsewhere. So I made do simply with my trusty Panasonic GH4, with Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 and Speedbooster. The sound was recorded on a Rode NT-G2 and we had a simple LED panel with diffuser to add some light as we had to take cover under a tree due to occasional rain and noise from the traffic nearby.

MP George Eustice was there for a photo-shoot mostly and the filming was only a tiny part of the official schedule, it was some bonus material the team wanted to capture.

At least the photo session gave me some time to capture additional material to spice up the interview a little. After all, who doesn't like filming dogs running around!
