Understanding economic and social issues
- from global poverty to women's rights -
The Poverties project is dedicated to making social & economic research accessible to everyone.
Everything from economic development, corruption, the environment, human rights and discrimination.
The aim is to provide humanist, nonpartisan information that looks for facts and analysis. This is to counterbalance many views about poverty (and the ways to tackle it) which are grounded in beliefs and bias.
Unfortunately, the tone can be a touch tongue-in-cheek, if not sarcastic, so you will have to bear with it at times. Hopefully, humour can help make the horror of certain situations easier to digest.
